Software Engineering Manager

As part of the Yummy Interactive Inc. Development team, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing hands-on technical development using the latest .NET and HTML5/Javascript technologies. The incumbent will work closely with other members of the development team by collaborating on a wide range of projects . You will be part of a team of experts that is responsible for ensuring all aspects of development are met by:

  • Performing hands-on technical development using the latest .Net, HTML5/Javascript Technologies and Frameworks
  • Adding new functionality and building infrastructure to meet increasing production demand for performance and scalability on Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure
  • Building and managing cloud infrastructure on Windows as well as Linux based cloud components.
  • Participating in code reviews
  • Attending technical meetings and meeting with project stakeholders to clarify requirements
  • Working with the Client-side Development team to resolve design issues
  • Ensuring appropriate unit test coverage, code documentation, software structure, and supportability are conducted

Essential Skills/Qualifications

  • Experienced in remotely managing development teams on-site in India.
  • Must be proficient in Hindi.
  • Developer with 10+ years’ experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or in an Engineering discipline
  • 10+ years of professional development experience
  • 3+ years of Visual Studio with .NET
  • 3+ years in coding with C#
  • 3+ years HTML5 Canvas
  • Thorough knowledge of CSS, DHTML, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, Angular, Backbone
  • Knowledgeable of design patterns
  • Extensive experience using Object-Oriented Programming methodologies
  • Professional experience in a Scrum/Agile
  • Familiarity with Database design and interaction experience with MS SQL server
  • Thorough knowledge of ASP.NET
  • Understanding of DB Stored Procedures
  • WCF working knowledge
  • Experienced in deploying on Linux and Windows based server environments and components on the cloud
  • Able to rapidly absorb, comprehend, evaluate and extend software and systems
  • Excellent communication, presentation and reading skills
  • Able to focus on the details while understanding the big picture
  • Familiar with video games and multi-player environments
